SIGNALLING & TELECOMMUNICATION

ALETHIA has emerged as one of the leading players in railway division. ALETHIA RAILWAY DIVISION is executing civil infrastructure, track laying, signalling and electrification projects for railways in India.


ALETHIA RAILWAY DIVISION has the expertise and experience to handle major turnkey projects for Railway & DFCC. Signaling and Telecommunication services having forged strategic alliances with experts in the field. On offer is state-of-the-art system engineering for train control systems comprising automatic train supervision, protection and operation including electronic interlocking.


ALETHIA RAILWAY DIVISION is capable of offering the entire range of services on a turnkey basis in the railway infrastructure project. The services includes:

OVER HEAD EQUIPMENT (OHE)

ALETHIA RAILWAY DIVISION holds the unique work flow of energizing major trunk routes of the Indian railway network in record time. The turnkey capabilities in the overhead catenary system include design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 25 kV, single phase 50 Hz, traction overhead equipment, traction substations and switching stations.


A system of conductors / equipment’s carrying traction power from traction substation to electric locomotive.


A simple polygonal type of overhead equipment comprises of a single 65 sq. mm. size Catenary wire of Cadmium Copper and a hard drawn grooved copper. Contact wire of 107 sq. mm. size suspended from the Catenary by 5 mm dia copper dropper wire spaced 9 meters apart. The OHE is supported by swivelling type Cantilever bracket assembly. A tension of 1000 kgs is given in each conductors i.e., Catenary and Contact wire. This tension is kept constant, automatically compensating the variations in conductor length due to change in temperature through the regulating equipment erected at the termination of conductors, also known as Automatic Tensioning Device.


As a standard practice, an independent mast is used to support the OHE for each track to obtain mechanical independent Steel masts. The OHE conductors are terminated at intervals of 1.5 kilometres and suitably anchored. The changeover is made by overlapping the conductors, normally on 3 spans. The conductors height at support is so adjusted that the conductors are physically clear from any obstruction under all conditions as well as, the pantograph glides over from one conductor to another smoothly without any spark.


TRACTION SUB STATION (TSS)

ALETHIA RAILWAY DIVISION, along with a consortium partner, has executed India's largest Design & Build railway project for a section of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor.

We have established a mechanized method for linking tracks, resulting in good quality, rapid execution and improvised accuracy. ALETHIA RAILWAY DIVISION is also building a significant stretch of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.


ALETHIA RAILWAY DIVISION offers total solutions for civil and track works. Armed with the expertise to construct rail beds and permanent way works involving embankments, bridges, associated civil works comprising station buildings, passenger amenities and staff quarters.


Every TSS has 2 traction transformer out of which one transformer works at a time while the second transformer is on standby mode. Each traction transformer has a sufficient capacity to feed its own feed zone and half of the adjoining feed zone.


Sub-sectioning and paralleling Post (SSP)

Each section is subdivided into two or three subsection by the provision of SSP every 10-15 Km. This facilitates isolation of faulty sections. Each SSP is provided with two numbers of interrupter of 600 A capacity and one interrupter. Interrupter is operated on load and is used for feed extension or isolation during failure.

Each subsection of 10-15 Km is further subdivided into elementary section. Two adjacent elementary sections are separated by insulated overlap bridged by manually operated isolator. Isolators are generally located near a Railway stations where station staff is trained to operate the isolator. Traction Power Controller issues direction through a control order along with exchange of private number to operate a particular isolator.

We focus on the monitoring of the most hazardous activities and has strongly contributed to the reduction of the number of severe accidents.
